Currently studying Japanese language and cultural studies at Newcastle University (4th year) Completed 1 year at Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan studying on their Intensive Japanese language program. I completed up to level 6 (level 8 = native Japanese)
Experience
I have previous teaching experience in Tokyo teaching English to students and business people. I have also taught some lessons on British culture and customs in Fukushima-Ken, Japan at a hotel called "British Hills" I am a native English speaker with clear pronunciation, my accent is not very strong and I love to help others learn new languages and develop their communication skills so that they can enjoy great intercultural experiences like I have around the world. My Japanese is at around the level of JLPT 2 and I am currently studying hard for JLPT 1 which I hope to pass next summer. I would be very happy to help beginner or intermediate Japanese speakers with their studies and push them onto higher levels. Even if you haven't seriously thought about learning Japanese language before I will mold my lessons to your interests in Japanese culture. I believe the most important thing about learning a language is to have fun! If you don't have fun it becomes a chore to remember and things will take much longer to learn. I will offer trial lessons at a reduced rate for anyone who is not sure whether my tutoring is for them!

Hobbies
I used to study music and can play guitar. I listen to a lot of music from around the world including Japan and Korea. I love reading from novels to manga and I'm also a big fan of world cinema. I have a big interest in translation so I enjoy challenging myself with new things from different cultures and trying to understand them fully. I love learning languages and meeting new people from around the globe. I have recently begun studying Korean and hope to travel there soon!
